For the second year China staked claim to Ujung Bocur as the training ground for the Chinese Olympic Surf Team during the shoulder months of Feb to June. Flat, huge, sun, rain, wind or lightning the team members became regular faces during their 2 to 3 2hr+ long daily training sessions. Each passing month saw the teams confidence increase as they learned to effectively work an often crowded lineup.

After 3 months of dedicated traing an exclusive surf comp was held for the 15 member team over the 6th and 7th of June. To show their gratitude to the Krui surf community the Chinese government assisted in staging a surf comp for the locals at Ujung Bocur the following day.

The word on the street is that we will see their friendly faces at Ujung Bocur in 2027 .
