Jimmys Right surf break South Sumatra

General surf information

Quality right hand surf break, often very heavy and fast. Requires a quick pull-off before the end section which shuts-down on a very shallow reef. Jimmy's Right is definitely for the experienced only. Broken boards are very common here.

If the wind is not good try Jimmy´s Left on the north side of the reef.

1.25hr by car and up to 2hr drive by scooter north of Krui in the Lemong district of South Sumatra. The trip to Jimmys's Right is easiest with a driver hired for the day (car and driver IDR 500,000 in 2019). Taking more than 1 board is advised.

The trip is scenic, the road follows the coastline with many small bays and rocky headlands. Honey Smacks and Jenny's Right are before you reach Jimmy's so its worth checking them out on the way.
